SDHS Clay Target League

The League would like to welcome any new students interested in shooting this spring, and provide all of you with some expectations of participation.

All trap shooting athletes need: A shotgun or trap gun, shooting (safety) glasses, ammo pouch, and ear protection. Ear protection is provided if you don’t have your own.

In order to begin practicing at the range, you will need to complete the Hunter Safety course and present your Hunter Safety number.  This is for any athletes new to the sport.

A sports physical will have to be complete before the season begins.  Forms will be available at the meeting.

Registration will begin in February at sdclaytarget.com.   Deadline for registration is March 15.  There will be a $30 charge for this when you sign up online.  An email link will be sent to you when we get all required items.

Cost:  This year each family is required to sell $300 worth of tickets. (15 tickets) You will need to write a check payable to the Groton Area Trap Team the night of our meeting.  We will hold your checks for you.  When you sell your tickets simply bring the money to one of the coaches and your check will be returned to you.

Practices will take place from 4:30-7:00 (1/2 hour commitment) Attendance is required once a week and encouraged to attend twice weekly.  Once the days and locations are established, notification will be sent via text message and on the Groton Area Clay Target League Facebook page.
